It's back.... And this year we look forward to having another great time!  You asked for it? You got it. The Hidden Hollow weekend Star Party at Warren Rupp Observatory will be back again this year the weekend of October 12! We are pleased to announce that the legend himself, Mr. Phil Harrington will be joining us this year!! (and some very, very cool suprise speakers!) Right now we're interested in finding a fe more guest speakers for the 2007 year. If you are interested in giving a presentation, please contact me. For now? Stay tuned!! We've got some surprises you aren't gonna' believe!!
Thanks to last year's success and accolades, we will be planning additional workshops, such as make and take solar filter, make and take refractor, or perhaps eyepieces. We'll have details soon. In the mean time, please plan on bringing your own astrophotos for a contest, or even you own self-made telescope! We'll be having great fun with these this year, so please contact me with an ideas or suggestions you might have. As in past years, primative lodging is available in the bunkhouses provided by Friendly House, as well as camping on the Observatory grounds. The fee is included in registration and there was no shortage of places to stay and plenty of hot showers and restrooms to go around. This year we are incredibly pleased to announce that NorthStar Concessions will part of the Hidden Hollow weekend! Opening on Friday morning, the crew will be on hand 24 hours and the food is great! It's great having our favourite munchies just a short walk away from our scopes. We will also have many fine vendors! I'm sure the great folks from Smart Astronomy as well the great folks from "Tech 2000". If you would be interested in becoming a vendor for 2006, please contact us. Door prizes? You know it! The list of door prizes promises to be phenomenal, so keep checking back! Because last year was such a success, we ask that you once again be kind and pre-register. This helps the food vendors plan how much will be needed, how much solar filter material, or other workshop materials will need to be ordered, and allows us to properly plan and provide for your comfort. We will accept registrations at the gate, but PLEASE make things easier for us by pre-registering! Workshops will be limited. Details will be available by mid-2007. Registration Since were are in the intial planning stages for 2007, so we'll be looking more guest speakers, vendors and door prizes to our list. If you, or anyone is interested in giving a presentation, please contact us. If you are a vendor, and are interested in setting up for a "no fee" weekend, please contact us. If you are interested in donating door prizes, we will be happy to provide you with a receipt for tax purposes. Again, please contact us with any questions you might have! In the mean time, keep checking back! More details will be coming soon... Once again, we cannot thank our Club Members, guest speakers, vendors and prize contributors enough. Without your support, the legend would have ended in the year 2005. Most of all, we would like to thank YOU, for attending the 2006 Hidden Hollow event. If it were not for your geneorousity and support, we could not have done it. We look forward to having you back in 2007!
